Voting & Monadnock
I'm so proud of folks who vote. I believe our vote really matters, which may be utterly delusional...or not. But it sure looked like it did in the election just past. So for all of those who made phone calls and held signs and baked cookies for fund-raising sales and sat at voter check-ins and on and on and on---your work mattered. It will always matter. Because it's not just about the actual vote, but all the energy that goes into our democratic process.
Our home rests in the shadow of Mount Monadnock. She's a lovely mountain, and believed to be sacred by the local American Indians. She's magic, and, yes, she is a she. Here's a photo taken by two friends, a newly wedded couple. Dan great up with my boys and Oana is from Romania. Grand Monadnock is the most-climbed mountain in the world. (I can back this up!)
By the way, I didn't take these photos, nor was I on this trek. Pretty day here, but chilly! Now I'm back to work on Tally 4.
